Job summary

Tyson Foods is seeking a diesel mechanic to service and maintain diesel/gas engines, transmissions, drive trains, tires and brake systems at our Albany, KY facility. You will keep DOT records and coordinate with the shop supervisor to prepare cost statements and ensure shop supplies are stocked.

Requirements include a current CDL preferred and at least one year diesel mechanic experience or completion of a diesel mechanic training program. Valid CDL for moving equipment is required.

Qualifications

• One year diesel mechanic experience or graduate of a diesel mechanic training program.
• Current CDL preferred.
• Experience must be documented on application or resume.
• Valid CDL for moving equipment from the plant to the shop and for troubleshooting equipment.

Responsibilities

• Service and maintain diesel and gasoline engines, transmissions, drive trains, tires and brake systems.
• Maintain DOT records.
• Coordinate with shop supervisor in preparing vehicle cost statements, reports and analysis.
• Coordinate with shop supervisor to ensure adequate shop supplies are maintained.
• Assist in the maintenance of shop building, records, and materials in a safe and orderly fashion.
