Job summary

North Central International in Sioux Falls, SD, is seeking a Service Technician to perform routine maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on medium- and heavy-duty trucks in accordance with manufacturer standards. This role requires reading and interpreting repair orders, preparing work areas, securing parts and tools, completing inspections, and executing repairs efficiently.

You will document all work performed, communicate findings to appropriate personnel, and ensure each vehicle is restored

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Vocational/technical automotive or diesel program preferred.
• 1–2 years of hands-on vehicle maintenance/repair experience.
• Valid driver's license; CDL preferred; ASE or OEM certifications are a plus.
• Basic understanding of electrical, mechanical, hydraulic and diagnostic systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and complex repairs on medium- and heavy-duty trucks.
• Read and interpret repair orders; prepare work areas and secure parts and tools.
• Document all work performed and communicate findings to appropriate personnel.
• Ensure vehicles are restored to safe and fully functional condition before release.
• Follow safety rules and maintain a clean, organized work area; mentor others when needed.
• Be flexible with hours, including overtime or weekends, as required.
