Job summary

Diesel Direct Inc is seeking a full-time Diesel Truck Mechanic in Stoughton, MA to maintain and repair fleet delivery vehicles. You will perform inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs while ensuring compliance with manufacturer specifications and regulations.

The role requires the ability to lift up to 50 pounds, weld as needed, interpret manuals, and work either independently or as part of a team. Overtime may be offered as needed to meet deadlines.

Qualifications

• Experience with diesel trucks is preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

• Must supply your own tools.
• Engine diagnostics experience is a plus.

Salary Range: $70,000.00 To $85,000.00 Annually

Diesel Direct is currently seeking a full-time Diesel Truck Mechanic for our Stoughton, MA location. Duties include working on fleet delivery vehicles and customers. Maintains diesel equipment operation by completing inspections and preventive maintenance requirements; correcting vehicle deficiencies; making adjustments and alignments; keeping records.

• Inspecting, troubleshooting, diagnosing, and performing repairs and maintenance on equipment. Engine diagnostics a plus.
• Welds equipment as needed.
• Interpret work orders and technical manuals.
• Repair or replace defective parts, components, or systems.
• Test repaired equipment for proper performance and to ensure that the work meets the manufacturer's specifications and legislated regulations.
• Able to work in a fast-paced work environment.
• Must possess the strength and stamina required to work with heavy equipment and work in awkward positions.
• The ability to work alone or as a team.
• The ability to keep up with changing technology and updates. Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
• Experience working with oil and fuel trucks a plus
• Must supply own tools
• Ability to recognize vehicle maintenance needs; ability to interpret policies and procedures, maps, and route directions. Overtime sometimes required.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
