Job summary

G.GreeneConstruction is seeking a skilled and dependable Diesel Mechanic to support the maintenance and repair of our fleet and heavy equipment across job sites in Massachusetts. This role is critical to keeping trucks and machinery safe, reliable, and performing at peak levels.

The ideal candidate will have proven diesel mechanic experience, strong knowledge of diesel engines and air brake systems, and the ability to diagnose mechanical and electrical issues. CDL is preferred but not required.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a diesel mechanic or in a similar role.
  • Strong mechanical knowledge of diesel engines, trucks, and heavy equipment.
  • Ability to diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues.
  • Familiarity with air brake systems.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, hands-on environment.
  • Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on diesel engines, including inspections and parts replacement.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues using diagnostic tools and equipment.
  • Identify and repair electrical and wiring issues.
  • Perform maintenance and repairs on air brake systems in compliance with safety standards.
  • Repair and maintain trucks and equipment (Mack, CAT, Komatsu, Peterbilt, Volvo).
  • Safely perform heavy lifting and manual repairs while following safety protocols.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Accurately input maintenance records, repairs, and issues into systems.
  • Apply strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail in all work performed.
  • Adapt to changing priorities and support ongoing projects and operational needs.

PositionOverview
