Job summary

Heniff Transportation Systems seeks a Diesel Truck Mechanic to perform preventative maintenance and repairs on tractor and trailer units in compliance with DOT, federal, state regulations and company standards.

The role requires prense of inspection experience, owning tools, and strong English skills; safety and regulatory adherence are essential. Work is conducted in a shop environment with focus on safety and efficiency.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required/equivalent.
• Experience using inspection and test equipment for cargo tank inspections.
• Must own personal tools.
• Ability to read, write and speak English proficiently.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair tractors and trailers.
• Perform annual/systematic 90-day inspections to meet FHWA standards.
• Perform HM inspections in accordance with policy.
• Adhere to safety (OSHA) and environmental policies, including handling/disposal of hazardous wastes.
