Job summary

Florida Detroit Diesel Allison in Pensacola, FL is seeking a Truck Shop Diesel Mechanic who will diagnose problems and perform standard mechanical repairs at the customer's site on equipment including transmissions and subassemblies.

You will order parts, perform routine maintenance, complete work orders, and assist senior technicians. A HS diploma or GED with 2–4 years of related diesel experience is required along with technical certification in automotive and/or diesel repair.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED and 2–4 years related experience required.
Technical certification in automotive and/or diesel engine repair required.

Responsibilities

Diagnose problems and perform standard repairs at the customer site on equipment including transmissions and subassemblies.
Identify and order parts necessary to complete repairs and routine maintenance.
Perform standard repairs on customer equipment and replace parts as needed.
Perform routine maintenance on equipment per guidelines and schedules.
Complete work orders and time sheets accurately and timely.
Assist senior Shop Technicians on larger jobs.
Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
Follow quality standards and safety procedures.
