Job description

Diesel Truck Mechanic position in Victoria, Texas focused on preventative maintenance and in-house repairs of a diverse fleet. Role involves shop-based work with occasional field service calls. Work environment emphasizes proactive maintenance to minimize roadside breakdowns, with a family-oriented company culture and ongoing expansion opportunities.Requirements:Must-haves: 46+ years diesel mechanics experience Strong diagnostic capabilities and ability to read electrical and hydraulic schematics Proficiency with Cummins, Mack, and Detroit diagnostic software Valid driver's license Reliable attendance and stable employment history Flexibility and willingness to learnNice-to-haves: Commercial Driver's License (CDL) or willingness to obtain (company-supported training available) ASE, dealer-level, or OEM certifications Experience with engine diagnostics, valve sets, and injector swaps Background in major component work (transmissions, differentials, wiring harness replacement)Compensation & Benefits: Base wage: $30$40/hour (based on experience and qualifications) Overtime: Paid after 40 hours typically 1015 hours weekly available Medical insurance: 100% company-paid base HMO plan employee covers difference for upgrades or family coverage PTO: 1 week after 90-day probation (year 1), 2 weeks (year 2+), 3 weeks (after 5 years) unused hours paid out 401(k): Eligibility after 1 year dollar-for-dollar match on first 3%, plus 0.5% for 45% contributions 100% vested immediately Boot vouchers: $150/year Uniforms provided Peer recognition program with point-based rewards Tool allowance program (under development)Hours: First shift: 5:30 AM 2:30 PM Second shift: 6:30 AM 4:30 PM Evening shift being considered All day shifts early morning starts preferred in Texas climate Minimal on-call requirements most trucks return by 67 PM 4-bay shop (expanding to 6 bays) with frame jacks, wash bay, and diagnostic software available#MHA
