Job summary

R-2 Contractors in Arizona is seeking an experienced Diesel Mechanic to help maintain and repair our on-road fleet, including DOT vehicles. The role requires diagnosing, servicing, and repairing diesel trucks, with emphasis on safety and reliability.

You will perform preventative maintenance, complete inspections, and document work; own tools are required though specialty tools are provided. CDL is preferred, and opportunities exist for travel to support projects.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of diesel truck/heavy equipment mechanic experience.
• Strong knowledge of DOT regulations and compliance.
• Ability to lift up to 100 pounds and perform physical labor.
• Must have own tools; specialty tools provided by company.
• CDL Class A or B preferred, or willingness to obtain one.
• Excellent diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, service, and repair diesel trucks and DOT vehicles.
• Conduct preventative maintenance and DOT inspections.
• Document all repairs and maintenance using proper work order systems.
• Operate shop tools and equipment safely and efficiently.
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors and other team members.
