Job summary

Qualifications

• Reading and interpreting safety rules, operating manuals and procedures.
• Welding experience required; ability to use cutting torch and gas welding.
• Must be able to lift and move up to 50 pounds and use shop tools.

Responsibilities

• Conduct mechanical and light electrical inspections of equipment.
• Diagnose and repair/replace failed components in trucks and equipment.
• Perform preventive maintenance on brakes, fluids, and lighting.
• Read job orders and listen to trucks to plan work procedures.
• Troubleshoot brake systems and service grease trucks and related equipment.
• Operate cutting torch and gas welding equipment; use shop tools.
• Maintain a clean, safe work environment and follow safety policies.
• Meet tight timelines and work under pressure when needed.
• CDL Class A or B required or ability to obtain.
