Job summary

WorkforceLinc, in partnership with Republic Services, seeks experienced Heavy Equipment Technicians to train the next generation in the Dallas–Fort Worth area. You’ll deliver hands-on and classroom instruction while sharing real-world troubleshooting and repair knowledge.

You’ll coach and mentor students, prepare materials and space, evaluate progress, and adapt training methods across hands-on, presentations, online tools and guided practice to ensure long-term success.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Heavy Equipment Technician experience.
• Caterpillar, Komatsu, or similar equipment experience preferred.
• ASE Certifications (current or expired) are a plus.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Valid Driver's License.

Responsibilities

• Deliver hands-on and classroom training.
• Share real-world troubleshooting and repair experience.
• Coach and mentor future technicians.
• Prepare training materials, equipment, and workshop space.
• Evaluate student progress and provide support where needed.
• Utilize multiple training methods including hands-on instruction, presentations, online learning tools, and guided practice.
• Help students develop the technical and professional skills needed for long-term success.
