Job summary

Transport Refrigeration Services, Inc. in Auburn, IN is seeking an experienced Trailer Technician to maintain, diagnose, and repair trailers and refrigeration units on site.

You will perform preventative maintenance, DOT inspections, and drive-time service calls to keep fleets safe and compliant. Ideal candidates have 1+ year shop experience, strong hands-on skills with brakes and electrical systems, and the ability to weld and fabricate as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1+ year of shop experience with DOT inspections or related training.
• Proficient with brakes, suspension, tires, and basic electrical systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance on trailers.
• Handle DOT/FHWA inspections to meet service times.
• Repair and replace tires, brakes, and suspension components.
• Diagnose and repair electrical and ABS systems.
• Weld and fabricate using steel and aluminum; handle road service calls.
