Job summary

Riverside Transport Group is hiring a Diesel Mechanic in North Little Rock, AR. The role involves performing DOT and PM inspections on trailers, conducting preventative maintenance and repairs, and maintaining a clean work area.

You will document repairs, input vehicle data, and handle basic welding, tire work, and trailer electrical tasks as needed. Requirements include a relevant certificate or ASE Diesel Certification, with 3–6 months of related experience or training.

Qualifications

• One year certificate from college or technical school.
• ASE Diesel Certification.
• Three to six months related experience and/or training.

Responsibilities

• Correctly performs DOT & PM Inspections on trailers.
• All trailer preventative maintenance and repair.
• Tags all warranty parts with information including cause of failure, mileage and removal date.
• Maintain cleanliness of work area and manage spills, grease and debris.
• Complete repair orders in a timely manner, charging labor and parts to the correct unit.
• Input vehicle information and diagnose equipment with basic computer skills.
• Perform trailer electrical work and basic welding/fabrication as needed.
• Fix and repair tires as necessary and ensure proper operation of equipment.
