Job summary

Riverside Transport is seeking a Diesel Technician I/II to repair and maintain diesel trucks. You will diagnose and repair oil leaks, fuel systems, drivelines, and electronic controls while recording parts and notes in the system. The role emphasizes safety, teamwork, and customer service in a fast-paced shop.

Preferred qualifications include ASE Diesel Certification, 609 and Air Brake certifications, and a valid CDL. Three to five years of diesel tech experience is advantageous for advancement.

Qualifications

• One year certificate from college or technical school; ASE Diesel Certification, or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Language Skills: read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Write routine reports and correspondence; speak effectively before groups.
• Physical Demands: stand, walk, lift up to 50 pounds; climb/balance; frequent reaching and handling.

Responsibilities

• Summary: Repairs and maintains diesel trucks by performing duties as Technician I/II.
• Record clear and concise notes and charge out all parts used in TINA.
• Follow troubleshooting tree to diagnose and repair most codes.
• Diagnose and repair oil and coolant leaks, drivelines, fuel systems, and exhaust components.
• Diagnose and repair body control systems and truck computer electronic systems.
