Job summary

CMC is seeking a maintenance technician to join our team in a dynamic industrial setting. You will participate in safety programs, repair and install mechanical equipment, and perform inspections and preventative maintenance across fleet and plant machinery.

Ideal candidates have at least 2 years in a heavy industrial environment, with Diesel and hydraulic system knowledge, and strong teamwork and communication skills. Overtime may be required, and training opportunities are provided.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years in a heavy industrial environment.
• Ability to communicate technically, orally and in writing.
• Must be able to work outside in all weather conditions.
• Must be able to work overtime as needed.
• Must be able to use a computer.
• Possess knowledge of diesel engines and hydraulic systems.

Responsibilities

• Participate in CMC Safety Programs and uphold Safety Culture.
• Modify, repair and install machinery and equipment following safety policies.
• Perform inspections, preventative maintenance, repairs and troubleshoot problems.
• Repair hydraulic and electrical equipment as assigned.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Train to perform industrial mechanical repairs and learn hydraulic/pneumatic systems.
• Work as part of the maintenance team.
• Perform routine maintenance and complex repairs on fleet trucks and trailers (diesel engines, brakes, suspensions, electrical).
