Total Equipment Management is seeking a skilled Service Technician who enjoys diagnosing and repairing diesel-powered construction and rental equipment. We keep customers moving by delivering quality workmanship and safe, reliable machines.

In this hands-on role, you will diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues, perform preventive maintenance, document repairs, and use diagnostic tools. You will collaborate with teammates to minimize downtime and uphold our core values.

Qualifications

Experience repairing diesel engines, hydraulic systems, and compact construction equipment.
Ability to diagnose mechanical and electrical issues independently.
Experience operating heavy equipment safely.
Basic computer skills and the ability to use electronic service software.
Strong communication and customer service skills.
Commitment to workplace safety and quality workmanship.

Responsibilities

Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and engine-related issues on diesel-powered equipment.
Repair, rebuild, and replace engines, fuel systems, hydraulic pumps, motors, valves, and related components.
Perform preventive maintenance, inspections, and check-in procedures.
Complete pre-delivery inspections to ensure equipment is customer-ready.
Document repairs, diagnostics, work orders, parts usage, and labor hours accurately.
Utilize manufacturer service software and diagnostic tools.
Follow specifications and repair standards to ensure high-quality workmanship.
Maintain a clean, safe work environment and foster teamwork.
Build positive relationships with customers by providing professional service.
Work with teammates to minimize downtime and improve efficiency.
Perform additional duties as assigned by the Service Manager.
