Job summary

Ryder is hiring a Diesel Technician Trainee in Evansville, Indiana. This position offers weekly pay and excellent benefits. No experience is required and on-the-job paid training is provided. The role includes a Monday–Friday schedule with evenings off and mid-shift hours from 11:00 am to 7:30 pm.

Eligible employees can receive tool reimbursement, PPE, and boot allowance, plus potential for merit increases and a 401(k) match. CDL is preferred but not required at start.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Zero to one year of mechanical experience preferred.
• Proficiency in English written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Move heavy duty vehicles and wash/detail as required.
• Perform multi-point inspections per company policies.
• Maintain fuel island area and assist with basic maintenance tasks.
• Attend and complete Technician Training Development Program requirements.
