Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred
• 0–1 year mechanical experience with diesel engines preferred
• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Proficiency in English written and verbal communication
• Demonstrated customer service skills
• Strong technical aptitude with ability to learn to use and maintain equipment
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve problems
• Work independently and as a team member
• Represent Ryder professionally to employees and customers
• Time management and priority setting skills
• Good attendance and performance track record
• Basic computer skills and MS Office
• Beginner knowledge of machines/tools and shop management systems
• CDL Class A preferred

Responsibilities

• Move heavy duty vehicles into/out of yard, wash bay, service shop or rental shop.
• Wash and detail vehicles; fuel properly; track fuel and DEF inventories.
• Maintain fuel island area to Six Sigma standards; perform light maintenance.
• Attend Technician Training Development Program requirements and assessments.
• Complete Service Island Training, Vehicle Fueling, and Safety training modules.
