Ryder System, Inc. is hiring a Diesel Technician Trainee in Evansville, Indiana. You will start with on‑the‑job paid training and earn while learning to become a Ryder Diesel Mechanic Technician. The role offers Monday–Friday schedules with weekends off and provides benefits after a short period.

No experience is required, but strong English communication, customer service skills, and a willingness to learn are expected. Commitment to safety and professional conduct is essential.

Formación

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Zero to one year mechanical experience preferred.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Proficiency in English written and verbal communication skills.
• Demonstrated customer service skills.
• Strong technical aptitude with ability to learn to use and maintain equipment and machinery.

Responsabilidades

• Move heavy duty vehicles into or out of yard, wash bay, service shop, or delivered to rental shop.
• Wash and detail vehicles manually or using equipment; fuel diesel, natural gas, and hybrid vehicles while following safety policies.
• Perform multi-point inspection on inbound units and report issues to shop.
• Maintain fuel island area to Six Sigma standards and perform minor maintenance tasks as assigned.
