Ryder is hiring a Mid-Level Diesel Technician in Morristown, Tennessee. The role offers a stable career, weekly pay, and extensive benefits. Hourly pay starts at $24.50, with several bonuses and a comprehensive benefits package after 30 days.

Schedule is Mon-Fri, second shift 2:00 pm - 10:00 pm, weekends off. Applicants should have a high school diploma (or equivalent) and a technical certification; CDL A preferred with ability to obtain within 6 months.

Qualifications

• Mechanical repair of automotive gas or diesel engines including routine maintenance such as oil changes, brakes and tires.
• Two years or more of classroom training and work experience in required experience preferred.
• CDL Class A preferred; ability to obtain CDL within 6 months after hire; pass required checks.

Responsibilities

• Performs vehicle maintenance and repair duties.
• Performs standard vehicle maintenance and inspections.
• Diagnoses mechanical and electronic problems using diagnostic equipment.
• Replaces defective components as instructed.
• Interacts with customers/drivers to determine nature of the complaint.
