Job summary

Ryder is hiring a Mid-Level Diesel Technician in North Charleston, SC to maintain and repair heavy-duty vehicles. This full-time role offers a second shift from 1:30 pm to 10:00 pm, weekends off, and weekly pay with comprehensive benefits and a focus on safety and skill development.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Vocational or technical certification preferred.
• Basic tools required.
• Aptitude and experience in mechanical repair of automotive engines including routine preventive maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Performs vehicle maintenance and repair duties.
• Conducts standard vehicle maintenance and inspections.
• Diagnosis of mechanical and electronic problems using diagnostic tools.
• Identify root causes and perform repairs as required.
• Operate with safety and DOT/compliance guidelines.
• Support operations and service island tasks as needed.
