Job summary

Valorfleetservices is seeking a qualified Diesel Mechanic to diagnose, repair, and maintain diesel-powered commercial vehicles. You will perform preventive maintenance, welding, and fabrication as needed, while ensuring safety, quality, and timely service.

Strong diagnostic skills and ability to work in varying environments are essential. Responsibilities include communicating repair findings to customers and teammates, maintaining documentation, and adhering to safety standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Diesel mechanic experience; towing or heavy-duty truck repair experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of diesel engines, transmissions, brakes, suspensions, steering, fuel, air, DEF systems.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain diesel trucks and commercial vehicles.
• Perform preventive maintenance services such as oil changes, brake inspections, alignments.
• Complete welding, fabrication, hydraulic repairs, lighting repairs, and other mechanical work as needed.
• Complete repairs accurately and efficiently while meeting productivity standards.
• Maintain a high first-time repair success rate and minimize repeat repairs.
• Ensure all vehicles pass inspections before release and test drive when needed.
• Provide professional, courteous service and clearly communicate findings and timelines.
