If interested, we invite you to discuss this with the hiring manager during the interview stage.**WE OFFER A FULL BENEFITS PACKAGE FOR ELIGIBLE EMPLOYEES INCLUDING:*** Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance* Voluntary Wellness Solutions* Life (Voluntary and Employer Paid) and Disability Insurance* 401(K) with company match beginning with your first contribution* HSA and/or FSA, as applicable* PTO to include paid sick time as applicable by state and federal law and Company Paid Holidays* Employee Car Discount Program**ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:*** Perform work as outlined in repair order.* Verify warranty, if applicable, on all repair orders.* Perform all work with efficiency and accuracy and in accordance with dealership and factory standards.* Diagnose and repair vehicle malfunction.* Communicate with the parts department to secure necessary parts.* Save and tag warranty parts.* Advise shop foreman and provide recommendation if repair order needs to be adjusted.* Repair documented in technician comments during each active time punch.* Road test vehicles as needed for quality assessment.* Maintain working knowledge of factory technical bulletins.* Ensure customer vehicle cleanliness.* Maintain neat and orderly work area.* Accountable for all dealership owned tools.* Uphold federal, state and local regulations governing the disposal of hazardous waste.* Perform job duties and functions with flexibility in the event circumstances shift, i.e., emergencies, changes in personnel, workload, rush jobs or technology developments.* Other duties as assigned by the manager.**WORK ENVIRONMENT & PHYSICAL ABILITIES:*** Activities require a full range of motion including handling, lifting, manual dexterity, finger dexterity and eye-hand coordination* Position requires sitting, standing, balancing, bending or stooping for prolonged periods of time* Position requires the occasional ability to lift and carry items weighing up to 80 pounds* Position requires corrected vision and hearing within normal range* Must be able to operate simple, complex and heavy-duty machinery**REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:*** High school diploma or equivalent.* Valid Driver's License and MVR in good standing and ability to obtain a Class B CDL within 90 days of employment.* Diesel Engine Technology Certifications/Education is a plus.* Knowledge in Detroit, Mack, CAT, International, Cummins, Mercedes, a plus.* Experience diagnosing and repairing diesel trucks/RVs is preferred.* Candidate must be a motivated individual who can work independently.* Following completion of all online training, selected candidate will be required to attend training sessions for products serviced by the company at the company's expense.* Candidate must possess a complete set of hand tools with rollaway toolbox.* Excellent verbal and communication skills.* Detail oriented.* Must obtain refrigerant recovery certification.* Ability to successfully complete a General Abilities Assessment and pass post-offer background check, physical and drug screening.**PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:*** DTNA Heavy Duty Truck Systems, DTNA Electrical Troubleshooting, DTNA Electronic Systems, DTNA HVAC, DTNA M2 Certification.* Freightliner Cascadia Expert Certification.* Western Star Expert Certification.* DD15 Major Repair, DD15 Advanced Diagnostics, Series 60 Major Repair* Cummins ISX, ISL, ISM, ISB, ISC Engine.* Allison Transmission**JOB DETAILS:*** Type: Hourly- Transition to Flat-Rate* Compensation Range: $20.00 to $58.00* Reports To: Service Manager* Shift: 1st Shift* Closing Date: Open until filled
