Job summary

Grubbs Family of Dealerships is seeking a skilled Diesel Technician to diagnose and repair diesel-powered vehicles to the highest standard. You’ll be an essential part of a busy, professional shop that prioritizes accuracy, efficiency, and quality workmanship.

You will diagnose engines, fuel systems, and emissions, perform advanced electrical diagnostics, and complete manufacturer-recommended services to exact specifications.

Qualifications

• Diesel repair experience required.
• Strong diagnostic and mechanical skills on diesel engines and emissions systems.
• Own a set of tools.
• ASE (diesel/medium-heavy) and/or manufacturer certifications are a plus.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair diesel engines, fuel systems, turbochargers, emissions (DEF/DPF/EGR), and aftertreatment systems.
• Perform advanced electrical, driveability, and computer diagnostics on diesel platforms.
• Complete maintenance, repairs, recalls, and manufacturer-recommended services to factory specification.
• Complete thorough, honest multi-point inspections and document findings clearly.
• Work efficiently to meet and exceed flag-hour expectations without sacrificing quality.
• Communicate clearly with advisors and parts to keep promise times accurate.
• Follow proper warranty and repair documentation so the story line supports the work.
• Road-test to verify the concern and the repair, and keep the bay and equipment clean and organized.
