Job summary

Berger Transfer & Storage, Inc. is seeking an experienced Diesel Mechanic for a dedicated on-site role in Houston, TX. You will diagnose, maintain, and repair tractors and trailers, working on trucks from various manufacturers, with a focus on reliability and efficiency.

The position requires 3 years of diesel technician experience (preferred), a valid driver's license, and the ability to work with iPad-based systems. CDL-A is a plus. Competitive wages and benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• Strong communication skills both verbal and written.
• Valid driver's license is required.
• Proficient with iPad and related apps; basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform repairs and inspections on Class 6-8 trucks (brakes, tires, wiring).
• Perform preventative maintenance and DOT inspections.
• Repair/replace vehicle components.
• Open/close repair orders on company iPad.
• Obtain parts and manage inventory for service trucks.
• Complete DOT forms and other documentation timely.
• Maintain productivity within target service times.
