Job summary

Ryder in Bloomfield, Connecticut is seeking a Mid-Level Diesel Technician. This role offers a stable career path with weekly pay, state‑of‑the‑art diagnostics, and comprehensive benefits.

Schedule is Tuesday–Saturday with first shift 7:00 am to 3:30 pm, including a competitive starting wage of $28.00 per hour. Qualifications

• Mechanical repair of automotive gas or diesel engines including routine maintenance.
• Two years or more of combined classroom training and work experience preferred.
• Valid CDL Class A is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Performs vehicle maintenance and repair duties.
• Performs standard vehicle maintenance and inspections.
• Diagnoses mechanical and electronic problems using diagnostic equipment when applicable.
• Identifies root causes of basic failures and conducts repairs as required.
• Interacts with customers/drivers to determine the nature of the issue.
