Ryder System, Inc. is hiring a Mid-Level Diesel Technician in Springfield, Massachusetts. The role offers hourly pay of $27.25, a Monday–Friday schedule with weekends off, and a second shift from 3:00 pm to 11:30 pm.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Vocational or technical certification preferred.
• Basic tools required.
• Two years or more of related training/experience preferred.
• CDL Class A preferred; ability to obtain CDL within 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Performs vehicle maintenance and repair duties.
• Performs standard vehicle maintenance.
• Performs standard component inspections and repairs.
• Performs preventive maintenance.
• Diagnoses mechanical and electronic problems using diagnostic computer when applicable.
• Identifies root cause of failures and performs repairs as required.
• Replaces defective components as instructed.
• Interacts with customers/drivers to determine the nature of the complaint.
• Uses Shop Management System and electronic documentation.
• Adheres to safety/DOT/MOT guidelines.
