Job summary

Expected duties include performing maintenance and repairs on heavy-duty vehicles, diagnosing issues with diagnostic tools, and ensuring safety and compliance across tasks.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Vocational or technical certification preferred.
• Basic tools required.
• Demonstrated aptitude in mechanical repair of automotive gas or diesel engines.
• Routine preventative maintenance including oil changes, brake and tire work.
• Two+ years of combined classroom training and work experience preferred.
• CDL class A preferred; ability to obtain CDL within 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Performs vehicle maintenance and repair duties.
• Performs standard vehicle maintenance and inspections.
• Diagnoses mechanical/electronic problems and uses diagnostic equipment when applicable.
• Identifies root causes and performs repairs as required.
• Interacts with customers/drivers to determine nature of the issue.
