Ryder is seeking a Mid-Level Diesel Technician in Newburgh, NY, to maintain heavy-duty vehicles on site. This role offers a competitive hourly wage, second shift from 3:30 pm to 12:00 am, paid training, and generous bonuses.

You will work with state-of-the-art diagnostics and tools, ensuring safety and quality. A CDL-A and relevant certifications help you advance within our logistics team.

Qualifikationen

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Vocational or technical certification preferred.
• Basic tools required.
• Two years of experience or more in mechanical repair.
• Valid CDL Class A preferred; CDL within 6 months may be required.

Aufgaben

• Performs vehicle maintenance and repair duties.
• Performs standard vehicle maintenance.
• Performs standard component inspections and repairs.
• Performs preventive maintenance.
• Diagnoses mechanical/electronic problems using diagnostic computer where applicable.
• Identifies root cause of basic failures and performs repairs.
• Interacts with customers/drivers to determine nature of the complaint.
• Uses Shop Management System and electronic documentation.
• Performs safety/compliance tasks per DOT/MOT standards.
• Performs other support duties as required.
