Ryder is hiring a Mid-Level Diesel Technician in Charlotte, North Carolina—providing a stable company for your career with weekly pay and excellent benefits.

Work on heavy-duty vehicles with state-of-the-art diagnostics. Competitive pay of $29/hour, plus bonuses and comprehensive benefits after 30 days, including PTO from day 1 and a generous 401(k) match. Shift: Mon–Fri, 3:00 pm–11:30 pm; weekends off.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Vocational or technical certification preferred.
• Basic tools required.
• Experience in mechanical repair of automotive gas or diesel engines including routine maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Performs vehicle maintenance and repair duties.
• Diagnoses mechanical and electronic problems using diagnostic computer when applicable.
• Identifies root cause and performs repairs as required.
• Interacts with customers/drivers to determine nature of the complaint.
• Follows safety, DOT, MOT guidelines and uses Shop Management System.
