Main Responsibilities
  • Ensure vehicles are maintained and safe for customers
  • Use Penske’s tools and technologies for repairs, diagnostics, and logging
  • Perform preventative maintenance like tire rotations, lubrication, electrical repairs, and cooling system maintenance on gas and diesel vehicles
  • Partner with your manager to develop skills through training and coaching
  • Assist with other projects and tasks as assigned

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred; vocational or technical certification in vehicle repair is a plus
  • Basic mechanical aptitude and 1-2 years automotive or diesel repair experience preferred
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Problem-solving skills and comfort with tools
  • Customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to work well in a team and outdoors
  • Basic computer skills
  • Compliance with safety and regulatory policies, including DOT and OSHA standards
  • Regular attendance is essential
  • Position regulated by DOT; requires a current driver qualification file, DOT physical, and drug screening
  • Willingness to work assigned schedule, travel for training, and pass background checks and physical exams

This position is safety-sensitive and requires alertness and responsibility for safety.

Physical Requirements
  • Frequent movement, standing, walking, climbing, bending, and sitting
  • Use of hands for operating tools and controls
  • Ability to work safely at heights and in all weather conditions
  • Good vision and hearing for navigating the work environment
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly and up to 100 lbs occasionally
