Here, you’ll perform preventative maintenance and repairs of all levels on the newest and best maintained fleet of vehicles in the industry. You will help our customers keep their vehicles in shape and on the road.

Responsibilities:

1. Making sure vehicles are maintained and safe for our customers
2. Performing preventive maintenance services on truck and trailer equipment with little or no supervision and in a timely manner
3. Repairing and troubleshooting components such as engines, transmissions, differentials, turbochargers, fuel systems, etc.
4. Keeping your work area clean and safe
5. Using Penske’s tools and technologies to log, research, and complete repairs, including basic vehicle diagnostics
6. Learning new skills through Penske’s technician training
7. Working on other projects and tasks as assigned by supervisor

Qualifications:

• At least 3 years of practical experience with vehicle maintenance
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; vocational or technical certification in vehicle repair preferred
• Experience in diagnosing/troubleshooting major components; OEM training courses, ASE Certification, and 608/609 certifications are preferred
• Proficient in using diagnostic and hand tools
• Valid driver’s license
• Problem-solving skills
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Ability to work as part of a team
• Willingness to work in non-climate-controlled conditions
• Basic computer skills
• Compliance with safety and regulatory policies
• Regular attendance
• Willingness to travel within the district and pass background and drug screenings

Physical Requirements:

• Frequent movement, standing, walking, climbing, bending, and sitting
• Use of hands for routine tasks
• Work safely at heights
• Work in all weather conditions
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly and up to 100 lbs occasionally
