Ready to move your career forward? As a Technician at Penske, you’ll perform preventative maintenance and repairs of all levels on a well-maintained fleet of vehicles. You will help our customers keep their vehicles in shape and on the road.

As a Technician II at Penske, you are a respected technician trusted to work independently on major and minor repairs, perform road tests, and complete maintenance tasks. You will also mentor new technicians and continue to grow your skills through training and experience.

Main Responsibilities
  1. Ensuring vehicles are maintained and safe for customers
  2. Performing preventive maintenance services efficiently
  3. Repairing and troubleshooting components like engines, transmissions, and fuel systems
  4. Maintaining a clean and safe work area
  5. Using Penske’s tools and technologies for diagnostics and repairs
  6. Learning new skills through training
  7. Completing other tasks as assigned

Qualifications
  • At least 3 years of practical vehicle maintenance experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred; vocational/technical certification preferred
  • Experience with diagnosis/troubleshooting of major components; ASE Certification and 608/609 certifications preferred
  • Proficient with diagnostic and hand tools
  • Valid driver’s license required
  • Problem-solving skills
  • Customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • Willingness to work in non-climate-controlled conditions
  • Basic computer skills
  • Compliance with safety and DOT regulations, including maintaining a driver qualification file
  • Willingness to travel within the district and work the required schedule
Physical Requirements
  • Frequent movement, standing, walking, climbing, bending, sitting
  • Use of hands for routine tasks
  • Work safely at heights
  • Work in all weather conditions
  • Lift up to 50 lbs regularly, up to 100 lbs occasionally
