Bobcat of Atlanta is an authorized dealer of new and used Bobcat compact construction equipment including skid steers, track loaders, compact excavators, telehandlers, utility vehicles, and more. We provide service both in the field and in our facility.

Bobcat of Atlanta - Kennesaw is looking to add a Diesel Mechanic. This role will be responsible for providing quality repair services on Bobcat equipment to meet customer needs in a responsive, friendly, educated, and timely manner. Responsibilities include performing diagnostics, service repairs, and maintenance work on customer and dealer-owned construction equipment. The technician will also identify problems with mechanical, hydraulic, diesel, and electrical systems and execute effective solutions.

Compensation is up to $40/hour depending on experience, with monthly bonus potential after a 90-day orientation period.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality repair services on construction equipment to meet customer needs in a responsive, friendly, educated, and timely manner
• Perform diagnostics, service repairs, and maintenance work on construction equipment
• Identify problems with mechanical, hydraulic, diesel, and electrical systems and implement solutions
• Participate in Service Training programs to develop skills and knowledge
• Document all repairs and testing for customer and warranty repairs
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Service Supervisor or management

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• 2-year technical school graduate preferred
• 1-year fleet or dealership experience in a diesel shop required; 3-5 years preferred
• Team player with a strong commitment to customer service
• Owns a sufficient inventory of hand tools for repairs
• Heavy equipment or agricultural experience is a plus

Physical Requirements

• Dexterity for operating construction equipment
• Occasional lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling 50-100 pounds; frequent lifting of 20-50 pounds; continuous lifting of 10-20 pounds
• Ability to stand, walk, reach, grasp, lift, sit, climb, balance, kneel, stoop, crouch, and crawl as needed
• Exposure to outside weather, fumes, and noise
