Krapf Bus is seeking a Diesel Technician for its Flemington, NJ shop.

SUMMARY:

Provide basic and preventive maintenance for school vehicles and company-operated vehicles on a scheduled basis in accordance with the company’s Maintenance Excellence Program.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Comply with safe work practices and procedures to reduce hazards
• Perform timely preventive maintenance including oil changes, fluid checks, tire inspections, brake system servicing, and lighting repairs
• Assist with state inspections and other tasks as assigned
• Complete daily paperwork as required
• Assist with snow and ice removal as needed

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Basic mechanical ability and understanding of vehicle systems
• Ability to follow directions and work independently
• Valid CDL and School Bus Endorsement or willingness to obtain
• Ability to lift objects up to 35 lbs., climb ladders, reach overhead, and operate hand tools
• Ability to work in extreme weather conditions
