Job summary

Transwest Trucks in Superior, WI is seeking a skilled Diesel Technician to join our team. You will diagnose, repair, and test diesel and gas trucks, following OEM standards and using factory procedures. You will collaborate with parts to secure needed components and ensure high-quality service for customers.

The ideal applicant has a high school diploma, a valid license, and the ability to obtain a CDL within 90 days. Strong communication, multitasking, and problem-solving skills are essential.

• Experience diagnosing and repairing passenger automobiles.
• Familiarity with gas and diesel truck repair and maintenance including engine, transmission, drivability, electrical, suspension, brakes, etc.
• Must possess a complete set of hand tools with a rollaway toolbox.
• Ability to obtain a CDL within 90 days of employment.
• Ability to pass a general abilities assessment and background/drug screen.

• Verify warranty on repair orders where applicable.
• Diagnose and repair vehicle malfunctions.

• Record and summarize repairs and technician notes.
• Road test vehicles for quality assessment.
• Maintain a neat and orderly work area.
• Uphold hazardous waste disposal regulations.
• Flexible to shift changes and emergencies.
