Diesel Technician/Marine Engines Opportunity Summary:

We are seeking a motivated and skilled Diesel Marine Engine Technician, who is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and diagnosing both routine maintenance and emergency services on marine engines (yachts, personal and/or commercial vessels) while making repair recommendations to customers.

Job Duties:

  • Perform quality repairs and maintenance on inboard Marine Diesel Engines as specified in manufacturer-designed procedures.
  • Accurately complete all required paperwork (e.g., repair information on work orders, information for state and emission inspections) in a timely manner.
  • Diagnose failure of vessels by disassembling, repairing, and reassembling parts.
  • Dedication and adherence to all Company and industry safety standards.
  • Inspect vital parts to ensure they are in proper operating conditions.

Work Experience & Qualifications:

  • 2+ Years of diesel repair and maintenance experience in a heavy truck/ fleet dealership or shop environment.
  • Strong working knowledge of multiple systems (e.g., transmissions, engines, hydraulics, etc.), diagnostics, and troubleshooting diesel engines.
  • Computer and software skills including Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Proficient use of Caterpillar ET and SIS
