Diesel Technician - Juneau

Your Responsibilities:

  • Perform preventative maintenance and safety inspections on our fleet of motorcoaches.
  • Diagnose electrical issues, from basic lighting to complex multiplex systems.
  • Clean and maintain maintenance facilities according to company standards.
  • Apply federal, state, and company regulations, policies, and procedures.
  • Maintain maintenance records accurately.
  • Perform other maintenance duties as required by supervision.

Our Requirements:

  • Knowledge in motor coach or commercial vehicle maintenance, acquired through experience or technical training.
  • Relevant work experience, preferably two years in motor coach or commercial vehicle maintenance.
  • Complete set of mechanic’s hand tools.
  • Current Alaska driver’s license (or ability to obtain one) with a clean driving record; Motor Vehicle Report will be requested.
  • Commercial Driver’s License with passenger endorsement is preferred (may be obtained through company training).
  • Pass pre-employment background check and drug test; participate in random drug testing.
  • Participate in sustainability programs and safety culture.
  • Deliver excellent customer service and support a diverse, inclusive work environment.
  • Legal eligibility to work in the U.S. (no sponsorship available).

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Preferences:

  • Proficiency with computer applications, maintenance inventory, and diagnostics.
  • Ability to read electrical and pneumatic schematics, maintenance literature, and parts diagrams.
  • Strong prioritization, communication, and teamwork skills.
  • Certifications such as CFC and brake inspector are preferred.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adhere to safety standards.
