Diesel Technician - Juneau

Your Responsibilities:

  • Perform preventative maintenance and safety inspections on our fleet of motorcoaches.
  • Diagnose electrical issues, from basic lighting to complex multiplex systems.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of maintenance facilities according to company standards.
  • Apply federal, state, and company regulations, policies, and procedures to all tasks.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records.
  • Perform other duties as required by supervision.

Our Requirements:

  • Knowledge in motor coach or commercial vehicle maintenance, acquired through work experience, college, or technical training.
  • Relevant work experience, preferably two years in motor coach or commercial vehicle maintenance.
  • Complete set of mechanic’s hand tools.
  • Current Alaska driver’s license (or ability to obtain one) with a clean driving record.
  • Commercial driver’s license with passenger endorsement is desired (may be obtained through company training).
  • Ability to pass pre-employment background check and drug test.
  • Participation in sustainability and safety programs, including recycling and active safety culture.
  • Commitment to delivering excellent customer service and promoting a diverse, inclusive work environment.
  • Legal eligibility to work in the US; no sponsorship available at this time.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Preferences:

  • Proficiency in computer applications, maintenance inventory, and diagnostics.
  • Ability to read electrical and pneumatic schematics and maintenance literature.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to work in a team.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Certifications such as CFC and brake inspector are preferred.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment supporting safety and compliance standards.
