Job summary

Penske Truck Leasing in Boise is seeking a Technician to perform preventative maintenance and minor repairs on a diverse fleet. You’ll log work using Penske tools, perform basic diagnostics, and learn new skills through expert supervision.

This full-time role offers steady growth and strong training. The position requires high school completion, a valid driver’s license, and a willingness to work 6:00am–2:30pm, Monday–Friday, at our Boise site.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; trade certification preferred.
• 1-2 years of automotive or diesel repair experience preferred.
• Valid driver's license.
• Ability to use basic tools and troubleshoot.
• Good customer service and communication skills.
• Team player with ability to work outdoors.
• Basic computer skills.
• Willingness to follow safety policies and DOT/OSHA rules.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance on vehicles.
• Log and research repairs using Penske tools, including basic diagnostics.
• Perform tire rotations, lubrication, and light electrical/cooling system maintenance.
• Collaborate with supervisor to learn new skills and training.
• Pursue other tasks as assigned.
