Kenan Advantage Group, Inc. is seeking a Diesel Mechanic Technician II/III to keep Class 5-8 trucks and tank trailers performing safely and reliably in a fast-paced shop. This role offers hands-on work, opportunities for training, and a clear path for growth.

You will perform preventive maintenance, diagnostics, inspections, and repairs, with emphasis on safety, quality workmanship, and efficient service delivery in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• 1-5 years of diesel, fleet, truck, trailer, or heavy equipment preventive maintenance and repair of Class 5-8 commercial vehicles and tank trailer inspection
• Ability to frequently lift up to 50 lbs
• Valid Driver's License
• Must pass a background check, MVR review, drug screen, and physical examination as a condition of employment due to the safety‑sensitive nature of the position.
• Ability to obtain required industry certifications
• Commitment to safety and quality workmanship

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance on Class 5-8 commercial vehicles and tank trailers
• Diagnose and repair brake, suspension, electrical, and air systems
• Complete truck and trailer inspections
• Perform wheel-end, tire, and preventive maintenance services
• Troubleshoot starting, charging, fuel, and HVAC systems
• Maintain DOT compliance standards and inspection requirements
• Complete repair orders and maintenance documentation accurately
• Work safely in a team‑oriented shop environment

What You'll Do

• Perform preventative maintenance on Class 5-8 commercial vehicles and tank trailers
• Diagnose and repair brake, suspension, electrical, and air systems
• Complete truck and trailer inspections
• Perform wheel‑end, tire, and preventive maintenance services
• Troubleshoot starting, charging, fuel, and HVAC systems

Pay Range: 25.00-35.00 per_hour
