Job summary

United Rentals is seeking a Diesel Mechanic (Service Tech II) to perform maintenance, preventive maintenance and repairs on rental equipment in a safe, professional manner. You will maintain documentation, demonstrate equipment to customers and assist with pick-ups and deliveries.

Prefer 1–2 years of repair/maintenance experience or trade school, own tools, and strong customer service. This role is safety sensitive and offers growth within the Service Department.

Qualifications

• Superior customer service, teamwork and verbal/written communication skills.
• Ability to frequently lift items up to 45 lbs.
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance, preventive maintenance and repair of rental equipment and tools involving mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems.
• Maintain paperwork/electronic documentation of work performed (work orders) in a complete and timely manner on a daily basis.
• Demonstrate a wide array of complex equipment for customers.
• Assist with pick-up and delivery of equipment & parts.
• Other duties assigned as needed.
