Qualifications

• 3 years of practical experience with vehicle maintenance required.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; vocational or technical certification in vehicle repair preferred.
• Specialized training in diagnosis/troubleshooting major components (engines, transmissions, differentials); ASE and 608/609 preferred.
• Experienced using diagnostic equipment, hand tools and power tools.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Strong problem-solving and customer-service skills; able to work in a team.
• Willing to work in non-climate-controlled conditions.
• Basic computer skills; follow Penske safety and maintenance policies.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair vehicles per Penske standards.
• Perform preventive maintenance with minimal supervision.
• Repair and troubleshoot engines, transmissions, differentials, turbochargers, fuel systems, etc.
• Keep work area clean and safe.
• Use Penske tools/tech to log, research and complete repairs with diagnostics.
• Learn new skills through Penske technician training.
• Take on other projects as assigned by supervisor.
