Job summary

The Zemba Companies is seeking a Diesel Technician II in Zanesville, OH to maintain and repair diesel and gas trucks and heavy equipment. You will inspect engines, perform diagnostics, and complete fabrication of trailers and tanks.

This role requires a Class B CDL and 4–6 years of relevant experience; travel to job sites is required and safety compliance is essential.

Qualifications

Description

Job Summary:

The Diesel Technician II is responsible for the full range of truck and heavy equipment maintenance and repair needed to keep all of The Zemba Companies’ vehicles and equipment in good running condition. This includes both gas and diesel engines. The Diesel Technician II will inspect all diesel- and gas-powered equipment to determine necessary corrective action by performing diagnostic tests and repairs along with the fabrication and repairs of trailers, steel beds, tanks, etc.

Essential Functions:

• Report all non-conforming material to the Truck / Fleet & Services Manager immediately.
• Ensure assigned work is understood prior to commencing.
• Complete assigned work within given timeframe and according to specifications.
• Complete routine maintenance and repairs of diesel and gas trucks and heavy equipment.
• Comply with standards and procedures of the company’s health and safety regulations.

• Class B - CDL License.

• Ability and willingness to follow directions as well as the ability to work independently.

Safety

Strict adherence to safety requirements and procedures as outlined in the Manual of Safety Practices and Procedures.

Travel

Travel to job sites is required as needed.
