Dollar General Fleet is hiring diesel technicians at the Zanesville, OH distribution center to ensure trucks, trailers, and yard tractors stay compliant with federal standards. Earn $22.00–$33.00 per hour with weekly pay and a comprehensive benefits package.

The role requires at least 1 year of experience on Class A trucks, plus hands-on work with air brakes, hydraulics, electrical systems, and welding. Prior welding and fabrication experience is desired; DOT inspections are part of daily duties.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of experience working on Class A trucks.
• Experience with air brakes, hydraulic & electrical systems.
• Welding and fabrication experience required.
• Tire repair experience preferred.
• Perform DOT inspections and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair truck and trailer components such as doors, floors, side panels, electrical and air brake systems.
• Perform preventive maintenance on tractor and trailer equipment, including routine repairs and repair orders.
• Maintain safety and reliability across fleet vehicles including tractors, trailers, lift-gates and company equipment.
• Follow all company policies and safety rules and keep a clean, safe work environment.
• Assist drivers with addressing outstanding vehicle issues.
• Maintain repairs for Class 8 trucks, trailers and yard tractors.
• Operate gauges, forklifts, shunt trucks, torches, grinders and other hand/power tools safely.

About the Position:
