Job summary

Ecology Auto Parts, Inc. is seeking a Diesel Mechanic in Wasco, CA to diagnose, inspect and repair heavy‑duty diesel vehicles and equipment. You will perform preventive maintenance and repairs, report to the Fleet & Maintenance Director, and support shop operations.

The role requires experience in diesel systems, adherence to safety standards, and ability to work with diagnostic tools. Typical hours are 7:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday through Friday, with full-time benefits described in the posting.

Qualifications

• Must have at least 3 years of relevant diesel mechanic experience.
• Valid driver’s license and legal US work eligibility required.
• High school diploma or equivalent; automotive technology certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostics, inspection, diagnosis and repair of electrical, hydraulic, suspension, brake and air systems on vehicles and equipment.
• Carry out preventive maintenance and repairs as assigned.
• Utilize vehicle computer electronics to interpret failure modes and initiate repairs.
• Estimate time and material costs for repairs and requisition parts.
• Complete required paperwork using fleet maintenance software.
• Assist other mechanics and review driver vehicle inspection reports.
