Job summary

Velocity Vehicle Group is hiring Truck and Trailer Technicians / Heavy Duty Mechanics to diagnose, repair and service medium to heavy trucks. Senior Technicians develop repair plans, fill parts requisitions and communicate updates to the Foreman.

About the Role

Senior Technicians are responsible for diagnosing truck problems and performing truck repairs. Technicians create repair plans, fill out parts requisitions, tag warranty parts, turn in parts with core value, communicate updates to their Foreman daily, and maintain organized toolboxes and clean, safe workstations. Tasks and skills are as follows and require efficiency ratings of 85% or above.

A-Level Technician

• Proficient on all vehicle component repairs
• Able to diagnose all vehicle component failures
• Competent in root cause failure analysis
• Vibration analysis
• Aftertreatment repairs
• Aftertreatment diagnostics

B-Level Technician

• Advanced diagnostics skills
• Complete engine repairs within SRT time
• Complex chassis repairs within SRT time
• Knowledgeable on all vehicle component repairs
• HVAC

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times

Compensation

• Hourly $39-$50/hr, depending on experience and qualifications
• Plus incentive bonus plan
