Job summary

DeVivo Companies in East Hartford, CT is seeking a full-time Automotive Technician to perform preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on a range of vehicles at our brand-new site. The role requires an eye for detail, reliable tools, and a commitment to safety and quality.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, technical school or equivalent.
• Training or experience in the field of automotive, truck or bus repair.
• Driver’s license.
• Hold, or be eligible to, hold a CDL license.
• Hold, or be willing to work toward, ASE certifications.
• Adequate English verbal and written communication skills.
• Physical strength and conditioning to perform all required tasks.

Responsibilities

• Performs scheduled preventive maintenance and service inspections on a variety of vehicles.
• Performs diagnostic and repair work.
• Completes required paperwork with regards to repair orders and parts usage.
• Makes road calls.
• Own and maintain the proper hand tools to perform job functions.
• Follow orders of the shop foreman or other supervisor.
