Job summary

Ryder is hiring an experienced Mid-Level Diesel Technician in Albuquerque, New Mexico — offering weekly pay, excellent benefits, and a Technician career you can feel good about.

Responsibilities include performing vehicle maintenance and repairs on heavy duty trucks, diagnostic work, preventive maintenance, and customer interactions while following safety and DOT guidelines. Training and opportunities for advancement are provided.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated aptitude and applied experience in mechanical repair of automotive gas or diesel engines.
• Routine preventative maintenance including oil changes, brake and tire work.

Responsibilities

• Performs vehicle maintenance and repair duties
• Diagnoses standard mechanical and electronic problems using diagnostic computer when applicable
• Identifies root cause of basic failures and performs repairs as required
• Replaces defective components as instructed
• Interacts with customers/drivers to determine nature of complaint
• Operates in compliance with safety, DOT, MOT guidelines
