Job summary

DeVivo Companies in New Britain, CT is seeking a Diesel Technician to perform preventive maintenance, inspections, diagnostics, and repairs on various vehicles. You will complete paperwork, manage tools, and respond to road calls as needed in a modern, well-equipped shop.

Qualified candidates have a high school diploma or technical training, relevant repair experience (auto/truck/bus), a valid driver's license, CDL eligibility, ASE certifications or willingness to obtain them, strong English

Qualifications

• High school diploma, technical school, or equivalent.
• Training or experience in the field of automotive, truck, or bus repair.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to hold, or eligibility to obtain, a CDL license.
• Current ASE certifications or a willingness to work toward them.
• Adequate English verbal and written communication skills.
• Physical strength and conditioning to perform all required tasks.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance and service inspections on a variety of vehicles.
• Perform diagnostic and repair work.
• Complete required paperwork regarding repair orders and parts usage.
• Make road calls as needed.
• Own and maintain the proper hand tools to perform job functions.
• Follow directions from the shop foreman or other supervisor.
