Job summary

Amerit Fleet Solutions in Cleveland, OH is hiring a skilled Diesel Technician/Mechanic to service Class 7-8 tractors and trailers. Pay is $30.00–$36.00/hour with weekly pay, and benefits start within 30 days.

You will diagnose mechanical/electrical issues, perform preventive maintenance, document repairs, and keep a clean workspace while supporting fleet operations. Requirements include 3+ years of diesel experience, tool ownership, a valid driver's license, and ability to pass pre-employment

Qualifications

3+ years of hands-on diesel vehicle maintenance and repairs.
Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.
Valid driver’s license.
Ability to own and maintain the personal tools and toolbox required for the role.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Willingness to meet physical demands and pass pre-employment screenings.

Responsibilities

Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on medium to heavy duty fleet vehicles.
Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues.
Conduct inspections to ensure safety and compliance standards.
Accurately document repairs and complete work orders.
Maintain a clean and organized work area and tools.
